Stretch fusible interfacing is an adhesive material with elasticity, designed to reinforce garment parts made of stretch fabrics that require stable shape and structure. It is thin, drapes well on knit and elastic materials, does not affect garment fit, and maintains softness and comfort. The adhesive layer on one side is activated by heat during ironing. This interfacing strengthens the fabric while preserving its stretch properties. It adds no excess bulk and, when properly fused, prevents bubbles or wrinkles. Stretch fusible interfacing is used in sewing knit garments (dresses, tops, jackets), and for reinforcing necklines, armholes, plackets, cuffs, bodices, and corset inserts. A test sample is recommended before application, as excessive heat or incorrect temperature may lead to weak adhesion or fabric distortion.
