What is lining fabric

How to choose lining for a dress
- Type of outer fabric. For light, sheer fabrics (chiffon, euro-tulle) — a thin, smooth lining that adds no bulk.
- Style and silhouette. For fitted models — a stretch base; for full skirts — light, mobile fabrics.
- Colour and sheerness. The lining should blend with the base or be slightly lighter (ivory, nude shades).
- Season. For summer — weightless and breathable; for cooler weather — a little denser.
- Degree of shine. For matte fabrics — lining without gloss; with satin or glitter — a slightly shiny one.

Caring for lining
