Zips hidden
Hidden zip is a spiral zip made of nylon, which is used for sewing into everyday clothes. The use of nylon allows for a smaller serrations, which means that the zip is thinner and less visible.
The name 'Hidden zips' comes from the way it is sewn into the garment: it is done with a special foot that runs along the webbing, close to the teeth. Because of this location of the sewing line and the construction of the zip, when closed it looks like a normal stitch. Only a small runner will be visible at the location of the zip.
